![]() You may find that writing your Compendium entries in HTML may make Sheet integration easier as you won't get tripped over by unseen/unexpected formatting that can sometimes occur when working in the WYSIWYG version of the editor. The text editor can switch between a WYSIWYG and an HTML version by clicking on the button which is the last button on the right side of the text editor's toolbar. Once created, a Compendium page will be split up into two distinct parts: A Text Editor and then an Attributes Table underneath. This will drop you onto the newly created page to start editing it. Once you've set or added a Category to the page, click on the blue Create Page button to create it. If this is the very first page, you'll not have any available Category to choose from in the drop-down other than Miscellaneous to start with, so this is where you should start adding your own Categories. Try again?īelow this will be a drop down menu for the Category you wish to add the page to. We don't currently have a page that matches that name. Since the page does not yet exist, the Compendium will display a page that says: (example: Page) For special characters like spaces, parenthesis, and apostrophes, once you hit Enter, the page name will be adjusted to use HTML Code for the needed ASCII characters automatically. Once you're given the URL for the new Compendium book by the Roll20 Team, you create new pages by tacking on the name of the new page at the end of the URL in the address bar and hitting Enter. You will want to have the organization structure straightened out before work on the Compendium begins. During the process of creating the staging area for the book, you'll want to assemble a list of Categories needed for your game system (Rules, Monsters, Items, Spells, etc). Once selected by the Roll20 team as a Compendium Editor, you will be given access to a blank Compendium book to start editing and fill with content. If you have no existing online database to create JSON files from, you'll need to build the Compendium directly in Roll20. After an initial Compendium project is completed, an Editor may be considered to help contribute towards other future Compendiums in collaborative projects. Structured data is strongly suggested to begin a Compendium, however we will consider manual submissions if the data is not available.Īt present, Roll20 will be limiting one Editor per game system Compendium. Editors will be working to help push content to our users and are expected to respect the rules of the site and the game they are working on - any violation or vandalism of the Compendium will result in removal from the project team.Įditors should have a firm grasp of the rule system they would like to prepare and ideally have some familiarity with HTML, wiki writing, and/or authoring Structured Data. These new Compendiums will have all of the features of the original two Compendiums, including Character Sheet integration and drag and drop functionality. A volunteership program is now available for potential members to volunteer to become a Compendium Editor. ![]() You can help the Community Wiki by improving it.Īs of December 1st, 2016, Roll20 has opened the ability for community members to build their own Compendiums for available OGL systems outside of D&D 5th Edition SRD and the Pathfinder SRD. This is outdated, or could otherwise do with some cleanup.

To do the center support rivet I turn the bucking plate over & only use the #2 crushing pin to form the head. How do you do the short rivets on the trunnion? Notice the bucking plate on the bottom it has two holes for holding the rivet head, the one that you can see is used for RPKs & Yugos with bulged trunnions the chamfered edge sets next to the bulge. To do the center support rivet I turn the bucking plate over & only use the #2 crushing pin to form the head. The top spacer is open on the front to allow view of the forming rivet.(arrow) It uses this piece of box steel I picked at the scrap yard, a 3/4" bolt with a 5/16" hole through it's axis, & hardened steel 5/16" pins.Įach pin has a little different cup cut in the end of them for various types of rivets, one with tape on it is to align the jig at the start of the process. You can use this with a hammer, air hammer or press with this jig. It is a good jig for builders just getting started because you can go slow as you want & see the rivet head form as you go. I have posted this jig on this forum a few times but I can't find it when I need it so I'll post it again. Here is a variety of a few rifles I've built: I don't have any close ups of the rivets themselves. So far I've done about 50 AK's using this tool. This it tap rapidly as I keep the rivet forming tool moving.įrom start to finish it takes me about five minutes to form a "perfect" rivet that matches the Russian formed other side head. I finish the head using a 6 ounce ball peen hammer. Once I seat the rivet in the rear trunnion,I use my two pound sledge hammer to form the rivet head into the rough shape I want. ![]() They do not have to be heated in order to make a nice round head. The rivets I use are of Russian make and are bimetallic. This plate holds the rivet in place and supports the factory formed rivet head in place. I also made a bucking-plate of steel plate that too had the same type of female hole. I Took my Dremel tool and made a female hole on one end that is the shape of the rivet head I wanted. It is a steel rod that is harder than the rivet. This avoids the issue of having to keep the bolt cutters perfectly parallel to the receiver, and gives you a bit more wiggle room to move things around.I've been building AK's for 20 years now. This way I could place the bolt head on the outside factory head of the rivet and it would sit flush on the receiver, then squeeze. Instead I used a grade 8 bolt head, ground off the shank, and drilled the bolt head for the rivet factory head. If you don't, you might end up spending more time and headache than if you were to just buy a set of rivet jigs and a press, then resell on Akfiles exchange when done.Īlso worth mentioning, instead of drilling rivet heads into the bolt cutter jaws, I ground the jaws down as shown in tutorials, but I did not drill the rivet heads into the jaws. However I'm a serious DIYer and have a shit load of tools. I used nothing but bolt cutters, bench vise, hammer, and a set of steel and brass pipe fittings to install the barrel and barrel components. However at times you may need to get creative, and will need to make your own tools or dies.ĭon't be afraid to try it, but if you do, buy several sets of rivets and practice for a bit. You can do all of the rivets with a combo of bolt cutter squashes, hammer, and a bench vise. ![]() These rules are also posted every time you submit a link or self post so don't say you didn't see them.
